Hertz
Hertz can provide cars equipped with hand controls at
Brisbane BNE Airport. These are available in standard Sedan cars and they are fitted to the brake and accelerator pedals via the steering column. 3 days’ notice is required to reserve a vehicle with hand controls. All depots have designated accessible parking. A renter who is blind or otherwise physically challenged and cannot drive themselves may provide a licensed driver to drive the car in the place of the renter- you must advise Hertz of this when renting and complete an Additional Driver Agreement Form.
Europcar
Europcar is in the process of making wheelchair accessible vans available Australia-wide, but this is not yet available at Brisbane Airport.

Budget
Budget offers cars with hand controls. These are subject to availability so must be requested at the time of booking.
Avis
If you notify Avis in advance, they will do what they can to accommodate a disability. Although they have no vehicles specifically fitted for wheelchairs, they can remove seats from a van to allow a customer-supplied stowaway device to be fitted.
